At the weekend, due to unforeseen circumstances, I

At the weekend, due to unforeseen circumstances, I found myself on a rugby tour in Norfolk with a gang of 12 year old boys (including my son) and their dads.

This was not part of my grand life plan. However, in the spirit of making the best of things, and much to the dads’ amusement, I snuck off to @felbrigghallnt for a couple of hours of restorative history, architecture and interiors.

Felbrigg Hall is renowned for its Jacobean architecture and Georgian interiors and is a delightful small stately home which one could imagine living in without any trouble at all.

The main facade of the house was created in the period when tree of life embroidery designs like our crewelwork fabrics were becoming fashionable and appearing on four posted bed hangings in the finest houses.

Definitely worth a detour if you find yourself in Norfolk.

Yesterday I visited @designcentraluk @coombelodgeblagdon to see the latest fabric collections in stunning surroundings. Not showing, just spectating this time.

The show is still on today so so hurry down if you are an interior designer in the south west, it’s well worth a visit.

Also, I finally got to meet PR legend @katyeaseympr face to face; it’s always nice to get out and about!

I can’t get enough of the film set quality of @ridge_and_furrow Elle’s Herefordshire home.

Here is our Mandlana crewel curtain which has been keeping the draughts at bay this Winter. The fabric has a rough linen background and muted colours, which settle perfectly in this ancient building, but the bright wool embroidery brings a welcome pop of colour in the late winter light.
